Dear Sandy, When I took the pretest I knew that I was going to learn a lot about diabetes from your course. I discovered much more. Donna made understanding of the technical and medical aspects of diabetes meaningful and interesting. Truly, she is a remarkable and competent facilitator. Julie taught me that nutrition education is powerfully important. She also made the daily diet a very doable and non-threatening aspect of my diabetes management. Both Donna and Julie are to be commended for their excellent approach to your diabetes self-management program. Thank you for developing your program. Believe me your course has already, and will continue to change my life. People like you, Donna, and Julie make the conception of "patient -centered and 'self-management' real. Sincerely,Joe H. |

Dear Sandy, I have just received my follow-up call from Daryl. How grand it is to know someone (especially a company) actually cares about my well being. I was thrilled to speak to a human being and not a machine. I am writing to tell you how “Wonderful” your program is – I was one of the people that didn’t want to sit in the front, I didn’t want to be bothered. Well, by the 1st break, which by the way came too fast, I was amazed at all the helpful information the classes were “Very Informative”, Your Staff can’t do enough and go out of their way to help in anyway they can. Do you handpick your staff? My compliments. A suggestion would be to take your classes to the work place and educate managers, supervisors, and co-workers. I was given a poor evaluation this year because of my being with it one day and not with it the next and my need to move up from my desk to help with circulation. I was very depressed and disgusted with myself this year. I was relieved to find out most if not all my shortcomings were due to my diabetes. Now if I could only go back and change my evaluation. I am happy to report – I am in control once again, my blood sugar readings are grand, my headaches and dizziness have completely faded. Diabetes is a horrible disease, no one should have to deal with this, but, since we do it is comforting to know you and your company can be reached for help and because of you and your staff I am confident and armed with the information I need to make the correct choices to keep my disease manageable. I remain Forever Grateful.Patsy W. |

"I had lived with diabetes for most of my life and thought I knew most of what was known about diabetes. I got a tremendous surprise when I went through your program. Much of what I had known previously changed. The information I gathered during the classes is helping me initiate changes to my life that are having a positive impact on my diabetes." S.A.N."In 1997 I was diagnosed with diabetes. This diagnosis had a devastating effect on my state of mind. Doctors and nurses came with lots of information…but something was still missing - the personal touch. I found that personal touch in the self-management program “Achieving Better Control.” This program gave me the insight I needed to not just learn to live with diabetes, but to overcome and control it." W.F."I am so grateful that you were able to inform me of your ABC Diabetes Program. And what a program it is. In five short weeks I learned about me, my disease, how to manage it, and that care and support is everywhere. Thank you for developing your program. Believe me, your course has already, and will continue to change my life. People like you make the conception of 'patient-centered' and 'self-management' real." J.H."I urge all who have the opportunity to give first priority to being there for the ABC class. Thanks again for making such a difference." E.R.“We were of assorted ages and types of diabetes and felt much different leaving the course than we did when we first arrived.” C.S. |
